Over the years, New York City buildings like The Dakota on Central Park West and 443 Greenwich Street in Tribeca have become well known for their celebrity residents. But in May 2025, the buildings most popular among high-profile buyers were predominantly located in Downtown neighborhoods, the Upper West Side, and DUMBO.
West Village buildings helmed by Bing & Bing proved especially popular during this time. The neighborhood is well known for its rich artistic history; and these beautiful prewar buildings with attended lobbies are located on winding streets off the city grid, allowing them to act as an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, not to mention the paparazzi. Two luminaries even inadvertently swapped Bing & Bing buildings.
