Overview of 645 West End Avenue

645 West End Avenue is a distinguished prewar cooperative building constructed in 1912 by renowned Italian architect Gaetan Ajello. Rising 12 stories and housing 73 units, this full-service building stands as a testament to early 20th-century Upper West Side architecture.

The building offers residents a comprehensive suite of amenities including 24-hour doorman service, a live-in superintendent, and modern conveniences such as a gym and bike room. Additional features include storage facilities and a landscaped roof deck that provides outdoor space for residents. The building maintains a pet-friendly policy and permits in-unit washers and dryers.

Situated between West 91st and 92nd Street, the location offers exceptional access to some of Manhattan's most cherished green spaces, with Riverside Park just one block away and Central Park within walking distance.

The neighborhood provides easy access to quality dining establishments and shopping destinations, while the nearby 1/2/3 subway lines ensure convenient transportation connections throughout the city.

Carter’s Review

"On a boulevard like West End Avenue or Park Avenue where most buildings are quite similar in size and configuration, it is often hard to stand out.

Sometimes a building can make itself more visible by having a very large cornice, such as can be found on the Astor Court apartment building on Broadway at 89th Street."

Sales History

Price/Room (Est)

Why are we displaying the estimated price per room?

For some co-ops, instead of price per square foot, we use an estimate of the number of rooms for each sold apartment to chart price changes over time. This is because many co-op listings do not include square footage information, and this makes it challenging to calculate accurate square-foot averages.

By displaying the price per estimated room count, we are able to provide a more reliable and consistent metric for comparing sales in the building. While we hope that this gives you a clearer sense of price trends in the building, all data should be independently verified. All data provided are only estimates and should not be used to make any purchase or sale decision.
