Winding through 6.7 acres on Manhattan’s East Side, Path of Liberty: That Which Unites US offers an intimate look at what it means to be American, told through large-scale portraits, stunning landscapes, and captivating interviews. Towering at 20 by 15 feet, 41 monumental photos and video transform Freedom Plaza into an immersive outdoor art installation. This one-of-a-kind experience is completely free for visitors, made possible by the Soloviev Foundation.
The piece, “Grounded in the Stars,” was produced in 2023 by Thomas J Price, a London-based sculptor whose work in recent years has directly critiqued the traditions of public monuments and portraiture. The New York Times wrote this week, “The bronze sculpture is intentionally unassuming, depicting an anonymous Black woman, casually dressed, with a neutral expression on her face and her hands on her hips. But as soon as the 12-foot statue was erected last month in Times Square, it touched off a roiling debate — one that reflects both a long-simmering argument over public monuments, and a very 2025 political dispute about diversity and race in America.”
The New York Botanical Garden transforms into a vibrant tribute to one of history’s most celebrated artists during Van Gogh’s Flowers. Experience the vivid beauty of the blooms that inspired his iconic works—both in the daylight and under the stars. Stroll through immersive botanical displays and striking large-scale installations, including a stunning lawn of towering sunflowers and floral recreations of his expressive masterpieces. As evening falls, don’t miss Starry Nights on select dates, featuring New York City’s first-ever drone show at a cultural institution, complemented by live bistro music, performance art, and a curated selection of cocktails and light bites available for purchase.
A burger-loving hit man, his philosophical partner, a drug-addled gangster’s moll and a washed-up boxer converge in this sprawling, comedic crime caper. Their adventures unfurl in three stories of violence and redemption.
